Parul Patel, MD
Dr. Patel completed her undergraduate training at the University of California at San Diego where she completed her premed study while enjoying classes such as a History of the Beatles.
Dr. Patel is a graduate of the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine & Science in Chicago where she graduated with a pediatric clerkship award for excellence in pediatric training. She completed her residency training in general pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital of Orange County and went on to complete a fellowship in pediatric endocrinology at Stanford University. Her interest are varied within the field of pediatric endocrinology, but she especially enjoys connecting with her type one diabetes patients discussing new technology. In her free time she enjoys reading, baking, and spending time with her family.
Dr. Patel is board certified in general pediatrics and in pediatric endocrinology. Dr. Patel has practiced pediatric endocrinology at some of the top locations in the state of California including the Lucille Packard Children’s Hospital and Kaiser Permanente where she cared for children with all aspects of endocrine and diabetes needs. She relocated to Toledo, Ohio where she has rekindled the Diabetes Care & Endocrinology practice at the Mercy Children’s Hospital. She was drawn back to the west coast and especially UNLV for the outstanding care it provides the community. She is passionate about providing the best possible clinical care to children and families living with the challenges of diabetes or other endocrine conditions.
Dr. Patel came to this country at 3 years of age and knew from a very young age she wanted to be a doctor. Through hard work and determination she accomplished her dream and is very passionate about pediatric endocrinology.
Dr. Patel has been practicing pediatric endocrinology for 8 years since graduating fellowship. She has been blessed to have been able to practice in varied environments and learn from her patients.
