Julie Beasley, Ph.D.
Prior to becoming the clinical director of The UNLV Ackerman Center for Autism and Neurodevelopment Solutions, Dr. Julie F. Beasley was in private practice for 17 years, providing neuropsychological assessment and treatment for children from birth to 25 years of age.
In her private practice, Dr. Beasley treated a variety of medical, developmental, behavioral, genetic, and social-emotional disorders (e.g., syndromes, Autism, FAS, ADHD, learning disabilities, mood and anxiety disorders, chronic illness, brain injury). She has also provided interventions for children ranging from ages 4 to 18 years of age involving verbal and nonverbal communication, social developmental and behavior management skills.
Certified in Early Start Denver Model for Young Children age 1 to 4 years with autism, Dr. Beasley is planning for programs for young adults 20 years of age and older. Dr. Beasley, who served on the Mental Health and Developmental Services Commission for the State of Nevada, received her Ph.D. from Arizona State University and did her internship training at Children’s Hospital of Orange County.
