Abraham J. Nagy, MD, FAHS, is Chair of the Department of Neurology at UNLV school of medicine. Originally from Nevada, Dr. Nagy obtained a bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience from Columbia University. He returned for medical school at the University of Nevada School of Medicine. Dr. Nagy attended Yale University where he completed his Internship in Internal Medicine and Residency in Neurology. He obtained his fellowship at the University College of London, Institute of Neurology, Queen Square London, UK.
Prior to joining UNLV, Dr. Nagy was on faculty in the Department of Neurology at the University of California San Francisco and was the Clinical Director of the Headache Department. He returned to Nevada to create the first JCAHO certified inpatient headache in the United States.
Dr. Nagy is board certified by the American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry and also holds United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties certification in Headache Medicine. He is a fellow of the American Headache Society.
